Jadakiss, a well-known rapper from New York, has invoked a popular 9/11 conspiracy theory in a new song, bluntly stating that President Bush was involved in the taking down “the towers”.
In his new song titled “Why?”, Jadakiss asks “Why did Bush knock down the towers?”.
Conspiracy theories regarding possible Bush Administration complicity in the 9/11 attacks continue to gain momentum. Many have pointed out impossibilities and problems with the official story, like David Ray Griffin in his book The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11.
The problems with the official story are very rarely covered in the mainstream media, which has been surprisingly uncritical of the U.S. government’s 9/11 claims.
Jadakiss, with his jarring, matter-of-fact pronouncement that Bush played a part in “knock[ing] down the towers”, is not the first rap artist to question the Bush administration’s—and mainstream media’s—story.
Rappers like Paris, The Coup, and Dead Prez, also offer provocative, conspiratorial views in their song lyrics.
Jadakiss’s popularity in the mainstream hip-hop community makes his comment even more poignant.
